Dermatology Training Programs
The Department of Dermatology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center provides opportunities for specialized training in a Clinical Dermatology Residency Program and Procedural Dermatology Fellowship Program.
- A three-year program that offers excellent, immersive clinical training as well as extensive surgical and pathology exposure.
- Five positions are offered each year through the NRMP Match for the ACGME-accredited residency program in general clinical dermatology.
- Emphasis on research with access to collaboration across departments
- Specialized training in dermatologic surgery is available through a one-year, ACGME-accredited Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology Fellowship Program.
- The department currently has one fellow per year for the one-year program. Additional fellowship time can be negotiated for additional laboratory or clinical experiences.
- Eligibility to sit for the American Board of Dermatology Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery Subspecialty Certification Examination.
