Laurie Goerzen, NP-BC, MSN, BSN, has been a Dermatology Nurse Practitioner for over 20 years and is board certified with the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
She joined Vanderbilt in 2010 after working in a local dermatology private practice and as a medical missionary in Cochabamba, Bolivia. She was faculty with Vanderbilt School of Nursing from 2010-2023.
She received her undergraduate degree in nursing from Belmont University in 2001 graduating magna cum laude. She practiced as an emergency room nurse at Williamson Medical Center while she was earning her graduate degree in nursing at the University of Alabama in Huntsville in 2003, graduating magna cum laude. She was a member of Sigma Theta Tau honor society of nursing 2001-2003. She received the clinical excellence award at Belmont University in 2001.
Goerzen has received the Five Star excellence patient satisfaction award annually from 2013-2024 at Vanderbilt Dermatology. She is a member of the National Academy of Dermatology Nurse Practitioners. She is a Williamson County native and she is married with four children.
