Professional Bio

Laura Beth Edwards, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Dermatology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. 

Dr. Edwards is a native of Birmingham, Alabama and earned her undergraduate degree in Biomedical Sciences from Auburn University. She then received her medical degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine, where she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society and served as president of the Gold Humanism Honor Society. She completed her internal medicine internship and her dermatology residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, where she served as chief resident during her final year. 

Her clinical interests include both medical and surgical dermatology. She is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and the Women's Dermatologic Society.
